The following pages look at the four key drivers that we have identified through the macrohistory view presented in this website.
Any macro view means that micro details will be sacrificed for the purpose of identifying and understanding overarching trends and patterns. That doesn’t mean that these details aren’t valid or important to explore- they just need to be explored within a different framework.
There are many questions that this website does not address: why people take some drugs over others, why some people are more likely to take drugs than others, what factors can be the catalyst for somebody to turn to drugs, etc.
And there are many drivers that this website does not explore: family breakdown, child abuse, gender, demographics and education.
However we need to stay focused and explore the global, ubiquitous drivers we have found to be most constant: economics, control, technology and society.
